Reflect Conference 2026: a day of encouragement, connection, and thoughtful conversation

Reflect Conference 2026 brought Christian healthcare workers and students together in Auckland and Christchurch for two rich and encouraging days of learning, worship, and connection.

This year’s conference explored the theme “Kia tika, kia pono, kia taurite” — let there be justice, integrity, and equity. Drawing on Isaiah 1:17 and the biblical vision of shalom, the programme invited us to think about how Christian faith shapes the way we care for people, serve our communities, and respond to some of the challenges facing healthcare today.

Across both conferences, it was wonderful to see people from a range of healthcare backgrounds gathering to reflect, reconnect, and encourage one another.

A chance to bring faith and work together

One of the clearest themes in the feedback was how much attendees valued the opportunity to bring together two significant parts of their lives: their Christian faith and their work in healthcare.

As one attendee put it:

“A highlight is meeting with other people who share a love of Jesus and work in healthcare, both huge parts of my life, and bringing them together.”

Another described the day as an opportunity for:

“Meeting with Christian colleagues and reconnecting my work with my Christian commitment.”

For many people, Reflect was not simply a professional event. It was a chance to pause, worship, hear the experiences of others, and be reminded that healthcare work can be a meaningful expression of Christian vocation.

Encouraging feedback from attendees

The response to this year’s conference was overwhelmingly positive.

Of the 51 people who completed the feedback questionnaires:

  • 74.5% rated the conference excellent
  • 98% said they would recommend Reflect Conference
  • 90.2% said they would be likely to attend again
  • 94.1% rated the keynote speaker as excellent or very good
  • 94.1% rated the plenary speakers as excellent or very good
  • 100% rated the catering as excellent or very good

Every respondent rated their overall conference experience as either excellent or very good.

Speakers who made faith feel relevant to everyday healthcare

The range and calibre of the speakers was another clear highlight.

Attendees particularly appreciated hearing thoughtful stories and practical examples from people seeking to live out their faith in real healthcare settings.

One respondent wrote:

“The calibre of the speakers, and the range of topics, which were all thought-provoking in content. The blend of scripture with our real-life situation made them seem relevant.”

For students and people earlier in their healthcare journey, hearing from experienced Christian practitioners was especially valuable:

“Hearing from doctors who are Christian and how they put their faith into practice in the workplace — really encouraging from the point of view of a medical student.”

Another attendee described the day as:

“Really fab blend of prayer, worship, inspirational speakers, amazing food and wonderful networking!”

A growing community

Alongside the sessions, many attendees highlighted the value of simply being together.

Reflect created space to meet new people, reconnect with colleagues, share stories, pray together, and be encouraged by others who understand the joys and challenges of serving Christ in healthcare.

One attendee summed it up beautifully:

“Christ led health care professionals gathering, motivating and working together as one for Kingdom purposes.”

The feedback also gave us plenty to think about as we look ahead. Many attendees would love to see even more opportunities for small-group discussion, profession-specific connection, and practical conversation about living out faith in everyday healthcare settings.

These are encouraging suggestions, because they reflect a real appetite for deeper community, honest conversation, and continued growth.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Reflect Conference 2026, contributed to the programme, supported the events, and shared your feedback.

As one attendee wrote:

“For me this was the best CMF conference. It wasn’t about teaching new things but learning from the experiences of others.”
