Christchurch Pre-Conference Call for Abstracts
Hosted by CMFnz, convened by Chair Greville Wood.
A medical and dental pre-conference offering aimed at Junior Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Dentists and Senior Doctors.
A day to deep dive (Psalm 42:7) and learn from one another, building multi-disciplinary connections to:
- Support one another to grow personally and professionally in Christian faith and expression and
- Deepen connections across disciplines, seeking the highest attainable standards of Christian and professional conduct.

We invite abstracts for our Deep Dive sessions. Come and share the latest advances in your discipline, within the context of living out your Christian faith in the workplace.
We invite ‘deep dive’ talks of up to 20 minutes. Each Deep Dive session will consist of 2 x talks max 20mins + 10mins each for questions. Talks must include both:
- Updates on current knowledge in your speciality – where is the science is taking us? Share the latest learnings from your practice.
- A reflection of how God has led you during your career to date. Eg. How do you integrate your professional practice with your walk with God? As a Christian what would you like to share with your colleagues to encourage them?
We hope to hear from a wide variety of specialists, including but not limited to:
- Orthopaedic surgeons
- Neonatologists
- Anaesthetists
- Paediatricians
- Physicians
- General practitioners
- Obstetrics
- Gynaecologists
- Dentists
- Missionaries

Following each ‘Deep Dive’ session, we will break for 30 min ‘Fireside Chat’ conversations to reflect on the deep dives.
